Classical strain improvement for fungal enzyme production

​​At The Protein Express, we produce functional proteins in a cost-effective and scalable way. We are offering an exciting internship in industrial biotechnology, aiming to develop a fungal strain with improved enzyme production characteristics using classical strain improvement. Through the improvement of our strains we aim to contribute towards a more sustainable industry!

 

🔬 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

- execute classical strain improvement rounds

- high throughput screening and selection of fungal mutants

- perform & optimize fungal fermentations at lab scale bioreactors

 

🧑‍🔬 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮?

- A MSc student in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or relevant field

- Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn

- hands-on lab experience with fermentation and/or fungi is an advantage
